Actress Sonam, popular for her role in the 1989 film Tridev, recently opened up about her Bollywood career and shared her interest in making a comeback in the industry.
The actress, who has been away from the silver screen for a long time, reflected on her acting journey and also talked about how she lost projects to other actors after she got married.

Speaking to ETimes, Sonam shed light on her bikini scenes in the movies Vijay and Aakhri Adalat. The actress shared that she was uncomfortable as she was just a 14-year-old kid when she had to don a revealing outfit such as a bikini in the film Vijay, which featured Rishi Kapoor.

But, she revealed that by the time she had to don a bikini once again in Aakhri Adalat, she had gotten comfortable with it.
Actress Sonam then revealed that she had once stopped the shoot of the film Mitti Aur Sona directed by Pahlaj Nihalani as she was uncomfortable with a scene where she had to allegedly go naked.
“I didn’t want to argue. Yes, I was very uncomfortable in that scene,” she said.
In that particular film, Sonam played a college girl who turns into a prostitute during the night.
Shockingly, she also revealed that she was given chocolate before shooting the scene.
“I was explained and given a chocolate – and then I was fine. My aunt came ahead, Pahlaj stepped in – but soon everything was fine,” she recalled as reported by the media outlet.

Sonam also shared that once Yash Chopra had told her not to tie the knot as she had a promising career in the Hindi film industry. The actress claimed that she lost Yash Raj Film backed Aaina and Feroz Khan’s film Yaalgar because she had tied the knot.
“I had signed 30 movies in the shortest span of time. But I got married very soon and had to complete many of them very fast,” the actress said. Sonam got married to director Rajiv Rai when she was a teenager. However, their relationship did not last and they separated in 2016.
