'All in one rhythm' slogan for Brazil World Cup

Rio de Janeiro: World football’s governing body FIFA announced “All in one rhythm” will be the official slogan for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke said at an event in Rio Tuesday that the slogan “represents the unique flavour” Brazil will bring to the tournament.”It will unite fans in Brazil and abroad, around what will be a colourful and vibrant celebration set to a uniquely Brazilian rhythm,” Valcke was quoted as saying by Xinhua.Coined by Brazilian communications agency Aktuell, the phrase was chosen from among 26 entries proposed by six local agencies. In Portuguese the slogan is “Juntos num so ritmo”.Brazil’s Sports Minister Aldo Rebelo said the slogan encouraged fans and citizens “to join together and celebrate the immense sense of pride” in the country’s role as hosts.Former striker Ronaldo, who scored a record 15 World Cup goals for Brazil and is the face of the 2014 organizing committee said all Brazilians could identify with the message.”Football means everything to Brazilians. That is why it has such potential to bring people together and be a force for good.”
