To their credit, the Chinese Cricket team managed to play the full 20 overs in the ICC World Twenty20 Asia Region Qualifier B game against Thailand. And in the process, they unintentionally added two records to their name – the second lowest total in T20 history and the lowest total by a team that managed to bat all the 20 overs.
This, after the Chinese team, managed to score just 35 runs in their stipulated 20 overs.

Winning the toss and electing to bat first on Wednesday, the Chinese never got a start they wanted and lost wickets in regular intervals. Still, they managed to play out the full 20 overs losing 9 wickets, with the 9th batsman, Wang Ya being the top scorer with eight in 11 balls.

Unsurprisingly Thailand won the match by ten wickets.
China, which has in the recent years emerged as a sporting powerhouse joined the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2004, and was granted full T20I status in April this year.
