Despite The protests over Citizenship Amendment Act the IPL 2020 will take place on December 19 in Kolkata as planned.
There have been reports of violence in West Bengal but Kolkata hasn’t exactly been affected.
“As of Monday evening, IPL auctions are on. Franchises will start arriving by tomorrow evening and Wednesday morning,” a senior BCCI official told PTI.

332 players shall be up for sale. Glenn Maxwell and Dale Steyn are among those with the highest base price of Rs 2 crore.
This year’s auction has only only 73 slots with a maximum of 29 being foreign buys.
