Rain, storm, or crowd problem are generally issues that affect a cricket match. But if you’re playing in New Delhi, pollution can also be a pertinent threat. It won’t affect the continuity of a game but it’s a threat nonetheless.

There was recently a ban on diesel generators to combat pollution in New Delhi. Now the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) just received a letter from Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority (EPCA), warning them against use of diesel-powered generators.

Since the pollution levels have reached a threatening level, this warning was quite foreseen. Now here’s hoping the match isn’t stalled for such a reason.
