Blinkit charges Rs 9 for printouts per page
Now, the Blinkit app, which was previously known as Grofers has started a printout service in Gurugram. Even though this seemed like a huge deal for all those students and people who need to get printouts on regular basis, the prices have shocked people.
They are charging Rs 9 per page for black and white printing and Rs 19 for the coloured option. But that is not it. A delivery fee of Rs 25 will also be added to each printing order.
Now, as compared to the Rs 2 option of printing things out yourself from your neighbourhood printing bhaiya, this is quite a hike.
Negative reactions to Blinking printout option
People on the internet too had a lot of discussion regarding the prices. Many thought the rise in prices would take down apps like these. Many even expressed that the printing stores in every locality charge Rs 2-3 for both side printing services.
“Blinkit is doing “Printout as a Service”. I bet laundry would have worked better, Startups are literally doing anything. Is this even sustainable?” wrote one. Another stated, “I get it at ₹2 per page if printed on one side and ₹3 if on both sides.” A third person said, “blinkit’s printout service is a joke. Rs. 9 for a black and white printout in 2022 (sic)??”
While the internet discussions are going on regarding this initiative by the Zomato-owned company, what are your thoughts about it? Will you pay double for printing?
