In her post on Reddit, the woman admitted that her family comes from a “culturally backward” background where education for women is not highly valued. However, her great-aunt, who formerly resided in London, wished to alter the perception of other girls of her ancestry.

According to the information she gave, her aunt moved to the US, married a British man, and started a successful medical practice.

She left money for every female relative she could when she passed away, according to the Reddit user. Her parents had access to the funds they had set aside for their two daughters. Everyone in the family now hates her

When she needed to raise money for more study, she discovered that there was only $13,000 (roughly Rs. 10 lakh) left in the account.
The daughter discovered the account had been used for her brother’s wedding when she inquired about it.

She made the decision to leave home and take out a student loan to further her education. She admitted that after making the choice, she felt “a great source of shame.” She ultimately made the decision to sue her parents in order to recover the money they are accused of stealing from her.

“Though they are all Americans and don’t really understand my culture, my friends are all on my side. To be honest, neither do I,” she continued.
The woman acknowledged that her brother had offered to cover her college expenses if she dropped the lawsuit.”

She said, “I agreed as long as we had a binding contract. She admitted that she had been called an embarrassment in her neighbourhood. The daughter acknowledges feeling “shameful” for dragging the situation out so long. But she doesn’t want to carry a burdensome debt for the rest of her life.
