Miller ended up buying the chair for $50 (Rs 4000) and sold the chair in an auction for over 2000 times the price he bought it. The LA native did gauge the potential of the chair but never imagined it would yield such hefty results. Miller told the Business Insider, “I’ve watched probably every single episode of Antiques Roadshow.”

He added, “I live, breathe antiques. I’m not an expert, but like I have a good eye so I saw it and I was like, ‘That looks like a really interesting chair’.” And surely a quick search on Google proved him right. He found a pair of chairs that resembled his worn-out mess go out for over $200,000 (over Rs 1.6 Crore). So, he figured his chair could go out for about a hundred thousand.
