When Sourav Ganguly batted, he was a treat to watch. In fact, like most left-handers, he looked graceful. But believe it or not, the man is actually a right-hander. He bowled right-handed, as he did eat and write with.

So what made him a southpaw with the willow? Well, he was a right-handed batsman in his early days, but his brother Snehasish was a left-hander. Ganguly wanted to use his brother’s gear, though why so is not really known. Nonetheless, he did and as a result, changed his batting style.
Time would prove it to be the right decision as for over a decade he entertained us with some brilliant batting.
