Also, recently, a plea seeking a stay order on the film release has been moved in a Delhi court.
The plea alleged that Adipurush portrayed Lord Rama and Hanuman in an unwarranted and inaccurate way, as they wore leather straps.

As per the latest report in ETimes, the makers have decided to shave off Saif’s beard digitally.
Earlier, it was reported that the team would spend an additional Rs 100 crore to improve the film’s VFX.
‘Adipurush’ is being made on a budget of Rs 450-500 crore, and this hike has made it one of the most expensive Indian films ever.
Director Om Raut released a statement announcing the film’s new release date. He wrote,
“Adipurush is not a film, but a representation of our devotion to Prabhu Shri Ram and commitment towards our Sanskriti and history. To give a complete visual experience to the viewers, we need to give more time to the teams working on the film. Adipurush will now release on June 16th, 2023. We are committed to making a film that India will be proud of. Your support, love, and blessings are what keep us going.”
Talking about the film’s story focuses on Raghava, who travels to Lanka with his sena, including Laxman and Hanuman, to rescue his wife Janaki from the clutches of Lankesh, who kidnapped her.
The film also stars Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh, and Devdatta Nage.
