The couple Craig and Katherine had a Harry Potter-themed wedding in the US.

Their ‘magical matrimony’ saw Craig getting down on his knee at Hogwarts Castle in Harry Potter world in Orlando. The two took their vows in front of the Deathly Hallows symbol and even had their first dance while holding wands like the characters in the fantasy series.

If reports are to be believed, they spent Rs 20 lakh for their Harry Potter-themed wedding. However, the two got brutally trolled online for doing the same.

According to a report by Metro, the couple requested their guests to attend their wedding wearing colors representing their assigned Hogwarts houses.

The pictures from the couple’s wedding went viral on social media and showcased the unique wedding in a positive light.

However, Craig and Katherine received a lot of hate online. They were brutally trolled and criticized for spending such a large sum of money on a themed wedding. Some social media users urged them to “grow up”.

However, Craig and Katherine were undeterred by the criticism and expressed their love for their wedding day regardless of other people’s opinions online.

Speaking of how they felt about the online hate, Craig was quoted as saying by Metro, “It never really bothered us but I didn’t realize how much people on the internet think that their opinions matter. A lot of people kept saying stuff like “I’m sure everyone in the audience is so uncomfortable”, and “the ring bearer must be so embarrassed” but that couldn’t be further from the truth.”

He further said, “There were a lot of people who loved it, but most of that was a mixture of comments like ‘Grow up’, ‘Harry Potter adults are worse than Disney adults’ and ‘Why is the groom wearing a backwards hat?’”

However, the couple hit it off immediately after they realized that both had matching Harry Potter tattoos when they first met.
