A captivating new trailer for the upcoming 1899 series from Dark creators Baran Bo Odar and Jantje Friese, was recently released. And our understanding of the series’ next ocean liner-based mystery is improved by the new trailer’s mysterious new hints. After winning the TIFF Primetime Program Competition, 1899 will make its OTT debut on November 17.

1899’s Plot
An immigrant ship travelling from New York to Europe at the end of the 19th century is the setting for the new mystery drama series. Numerous people of various ethnicities and socioeconomic groups are aboard the ship. After they see the Prometheus, a ship that inexplicably vanished into the night a few months prior to their ship’s voyage, these differences will soon dissolve.

Mysterious incidents will quickly spread like a curse among the passengers of the ship once their ship encounters the abandoned craft.

The trailer depicts their trek to the Prometheus, beginning with flares flashing red in the pitch-dark, followed by a short boat ride to the debris and lamp-lit shots of empty bunks. Several passengers of diverse backgrounds are seen with black triangle tattoos as a man pulls a little black pyramid out of his backpack. In a climactic ending, a glimpse of the series’ upcoming mystery is revealed. All audience and critics’ eyes are on when the series will finally start streaming because it is so very exciting.
