This old video of John Abraham talking about communal harmony in Kerala is going viral on the internet. 

In the video, he was asked what makes Kerala different from most of us, to which he said, “You can see a temple, a mosque, and a church within like 10 meters of each other peacefully co-existing without any problem whatsoever.

“Seeing what’s happening to the world today – the entire world is getting very polarized – I think Kerala is an example of a place where religions and communities co-existing so peacefully.”

“The other extreme is I still remember when Fidel Castro passed away, I went to Kerala and that was the only state where they had his posters and hoardings all over to mourn his death. So Kerala is really communist in… “

“I see that in my father also… My father was… I wouldn’t say… he made me read a lot of Marxist philosophy… there is a communist side in a lot of mallus – like we call ourselves mallus – so I think that’s fantastic because we all believe in equitable living… we all believe n equitable distribution of wealth and I think Kerala is a shining example of that,” added John Abraham.

Several other Twitter users are sharing what the real Kerala Story is as they think what’s shown in the film is propaganda.

AR Rahman also bats for communal harmony. 

Earlier, the Oscar-winning music composer shared a post showing a Hindu couple tying a knot in a mosque in Kerala. “Bravo… love for humanity has to be unconditional and healing,” he wrote.
