After a long wait of 13 years, James Cameron’s Avatar 2 has finally hit the screens. The frenzy around the science-fiction film is being witnessed across the world. A fan in Andhra Pradesh went to the theatres to watch the movie with his younger brother. Sadly, he passed away while watching the movie.

The man identified as Lakshmireddy Srinu suffered a heart attack while watching the film.
As per a report on India Today, the man collapsed while watching Avatar: The Way Of Water. Following this, his younger brother rushed him to the hospital where he was declared dead. Lakshmireddy Srinu is survived by a son and a daughter. The incident took place in Andhra Pradesh’s Kakinada district.

In a similar incident, another man had died of “over-excitement” while watching the first part. In 2010, Agence France Presse had reported that he had a history of high blood pressure. The doctor who checked him later revealed that he died of “over-excitement from watching the movie”.

The 77-year-old British man Bernard Channing was in Thailand for vacation and decided to watch the recently release Anabelle Comes Home. Sadly, when the movie finished and the lights were turned on, the woman sitting next to him only noticed that he was dead.
When the woman discovered he was dead, she shouted and called the emergency services for help. The man was announced dead inside the venue itself. Emergency services covered up his body and then loaded it into an ambulance.
His body was carried to the hospital to detect the cause of death. The woman, meanwhile, was shaken.

Meanwhile, Avatar The Way Of Water has become second biggest opener of all time in India after Avengers: Endgame. The James Cameron movie minted Rs 40 crore while Avengers: Endgame had earned Rs 53.10 crore.
The movie has surpassed the collection of Avengers: Infinity War and Spider-Man: No Way Home, which has garnered Rs 31 crore and Rs 32 crore respectively.
