Seeing DJ Diplo groove as Diljit Dosanjh sang his popular track Patiala Peg at Coachella was perhaps one of the highlights of his history-making performance. The Punjabi singer was the first Indian to perform at the prestigious music festival.
Diplo even cheered for his as he wrote on Instagram, “First Punjabi artist to perform at Coachella and y’all really thought I would miss it?”

After making history, Diljit Dosanjh is chilling with DJ Diplo and enjoying tea with him. In the videos uploaded on his Instagram account, he was seen feeding Laddu to Diplo and drinking chai with him. “Ley Bai @diplo Hun Apna Bai Ae,” he wrote. “Chaa Paani with One and Only,” he wrote on his Instagram Story.
DJ Diplo himself commented on it in Hindi and wrote, “Mithe laddo, Mithe beats.”
Meanwhile, fans are rooting for a collaboration between the two. “This collab needs to happen,” said a user. Another one commented, “It’s collab time.”

Did you know Diljit Dosanjh had planned to speak n English on the Coachella stage, however, “end time pe Angrezi aayi nahi bahar”, he said.
“Honestly, I had prepared saying that in English but impromptu Punjabi came out of me, as it usually does. End moment pe angrezi ayi hi nai meri bahar,” he told ETimes.
On stage, Diljit had exclaimed, “Punjabi aa gaye coachella oye!”
Diljit Dosanjh will next be seen in Jodi, also starring Nimrat Khaira. A new song from the Punjabi film titled Takue Chalaon Ni Main Janda has been released today.
The music of the film has been gaining headlines since the director of the movie, Amberdeep Singh said that its songs will be remembered even after a decade. He also pointed out the movie as being the “most awaited film of Punjabi cinema”. The reason behind such a statement can be the facts like the pairing of Nimrit-Diljit, classic music and the collaboration of Amberdeep and Diljit for the first time.
In the movie, Diljit essays the role of an inspiring singer who opens the stage for the main artists of the orchestra. He then pairs up with Nimrat Khaira. Their Jodi initially isn’t received well by the audience, but soon they become a rage. As they become one of the most loved Jodis, their camaraderie in real life also takes a romantic turn.
