Sony TV’s business-based show Shark Tank India has given wings to multiple entrepreneurial ideas and there are proofs of it. The two-season show featured investors like Ashneer Grover, Namita Thapar, Vineeta Singh, Aman Gupta, Peyush Bansal, Ghazal Alagh, Amit Jain and Anupam Mittal.

Namita who is the Executive Director – India Business of Emcure Pharmaceuticals was one of those sharks who barely invested.
But the ones she did has success stories like anything. Thapar takes to her social media handles and shares such stories every now and then. And her recent one has an inspiring lesson. Namita shared that a Gurugram-based start-up that arrived in Shark Tank season 2 is now making 5x profits.

Named Perfora, the company secured a triple-Shark deal at the show which included Namita as well. She has now taken to Twitter and shared a picture with the founder duo Tushar Khurana and Jatan Bawa with an exciting and inspiring update on their business stats.

Namita tweeted, “Closed the deal with Perfora & met Tushar & Jatan in Delhi, their sales have increased from 70 lakhs per month to 3.5 cr per month (5X) in 9 months since I heard them pitch at the tank. They completed a fundraising 3m back at double the shark tank valuation, need I say more!”
Shark Tank’s second season aired between January and February this year.
At the show, Khurana and Bawa raised a fund of ₹80 lakh for 2.5% equity of their company which was divided among Namita, Peyush Bansal (Lenskart) and Vineeta Singh (Sugar Cosmetics). The co-founders had raised the quoted investment at a valuation of Rs 32 crore.

Some time back, Namita hosted one of her sports pitchers for dinner at home.
Talking about them, she wrote, “Fabulous kabaddi matches followed by an even fabulous dinner at home with the team @suhailchandhok, Arvind, Dhanya, Vikas, Shruti. From their pitch at @sharktank.india Season 1 to now, what a long long way they have come, 12X sales & profit!”

Talking Perfora, then it’s an oral care brand founded in August 2021 which sells products like toothpaste, electric toothbrush, water flosser, mouthwash, teeth whitening, and tongue cleaners.

In one of the interviews, Jatan revealed that Perfora is available in 120 retail outlets across Delhi-NCR and with a 40% retention rate serves 22,000 customers every month.
