He finished off his outfit with a chunky white necklace and earrings. He was looking away from the camera and at a man dressed in a yellow attire while wearing his hair up in a bun.

Sharing the picture on Instagram, he wrote in Hindi, “giraftar teri aankhon mai hove jaa rahe hai hum, jeena nhi hai fir bhi jeeye jaarhe hai hum (I am getting trapped in your eyes, I really don’t want to live but I am still living)- @fbdn.bdn.”

Nawazuddin’s Experience While Filming

Talking about the film, the actor told HT, “Before filming Haddi, I stayed among the (transgender) community. I realised that they relate themselves to females. They wish to become a woman and think of it as something that completes their lives. I kept these things in mind to play the role. I always thought that I am playing a female character”

He added, “Physically the makeup used to take 3 hours alone. Jaise jaise makeup hota tha I used to change myself (with makeup I emerged in the character). Mere lehze me bohot hi softness aa gayi thi, I used to wear soft undergarments (Even my mannerism changed with the character).”

Talking about his daughter’s reaction to his look, the actor had said that she was upset and first. Nawaz told Bombay Times that she realised later that it was only for a role.

Talking about the film, he said that after this experience, his respect for actresses has also grown multifold. In addition to acting, he continued, women also have a lot on their plates in terms of their hair, makeup, clothes, and nails.

The film Haddi is directed by Akshat Ajay Sharma, and co-written by him and Adamya Bhalla. You will soon be able to watch Haddi on Zee5.
