The latest episode of Shark Tank India season 3 saw film producer and entrepreneur Ronnie Screwvala making his debut on the show. In just one episode, he has won over people’s hearts who are hailing him as the man who “epitomizes the name Shark”. Not just that, the fans of the show are also admiring his camaraderie

with fellow Shark Peyush Bansal, the co-founder and CEO of Lenskart.

Peyush made the revelation himself when he invited Ronnie for Hustlr Table, an interview series for Lenskart where he talked about real stories of people who made it big in their respective industries. As Peyush introduced the filmmaker and entrepreneur, he said, “Ronnie is my biggest mentor.”

As she shared the video, he wrote, “Ronnie has been my biggest mentor last 10 years…my entrepreneurship journey. He came in as an investor but very soon the relationship mutually changed to me coming to him with a lot of questions and he asking me a lot of tough objective ones – and that is how we started building a strong mentor-mentee relationship.

A mentor plays a very important role in life of a founder/CEO as you build business. Not many people are close to the ground and are able to understand the challenges you go through as a hustling entrepreneur and hence it is always good to have someone you can call to discuss and brainstorm. Decision in the end will still always be yours and the risk and reward but an honest conversation where you are not on the spot and the vision is, is very helpful (sic).”
