For a country that has been under the shed of patriarchy for the longest time and always saw women in a frame of ‘sharm’ and ‘lihaaj’, Uorfi Javed is a smashing slap on their face. The TV actress and DIY expert speaks her heart out and does what it takes to rule the headlines.

For a long time now, Uorfi has been in the pool of trolling because of her out-of-box outfits and bold statements.
Revealing that sometimes negativity affects her, Uorfi expressed on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, “ Maybe yeh jo bol rahe hai, sahi hai. Maybe mein samaj mein ek dhabba hoon. Maybe I’m not good enough to be a good woman. Main sach mein shayad ek bad example hoon younger generation ke liye. Ya maybe main kuch galat kar rahi hoon. Jaise trolls bolte hai, maybe I am sl*t”.
Uorfi further shared that she has a self-realisation of what the actress has done and feels there’s no point looking back.
“I feel that I can’t go back. There’s no going back. Main yaha se kaha jaungi. Even if I quit everything, that’s going to stay on the internet forever. Toh main karu kya?” Urofi continued, “I do think, have I done something so wrong? Am I a bad person? Maybe no family will accept me. Maybe I won’t have any friends.”
Despite all her lows, Uorfi tends to be motivated by fame and attention and wants to live her life like this.
In the same interview, the Bigg Boss OTT contestant said that especially ‘men have no right to question her’. “You have not suffered what I have, not seen what I have seen. If I feel comfortable presenting my body and art in a certain way, then why are you getting so offended? I just don’t understand. You have sexualised a female body and you have a problem with that too.”

Last seen in Splitsvilla 14, Uorfi shared that no one blames the director, or producer when they made them dance on certain lyrics and choreography.
“They still blame the girl, ‘Look what has she worn, the way she is dancing.’ But she is merely following the instructions given by the producer or the director. It is always the girls who get blamed. If they can capitalise on her sexualisation, why can’t a girl capitalise on that? I am just capitalising on that”.
