It seems that when it comes to leaks in The Last of Us franchise, the PlayStation Store beats all rumour-mongers. Shortly after the official announcement of The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, the store has now revealed what three of the Lost Levels bonus content will be in the PS5 game. The existence of the remaster itself was leaked on the PlayStation Store, followed by developer Naughty Dog officially revealing details of the game.

TLoU Part 2 Remastered will feature a lot of bonus content, but its ‘Lost Levels’ with developer commentary was particularly intriguing. The PS Store listing reveals that the three levels will be:
• Jackson Party
• Boar Hunt
• Sewers
It looks like all of these ‘Lost Levels’ will only have Ellie as the playable character. Naughty Dog revealed that the ‘Lost Levels’ are cut content from the original game that won’t be added to the narrative of TLoU 2 natively with the remaster. Instead, all these levels will be available to explore from a separate menu.

Fans have seemingly figured out what all of these levels will include. “Jackson Dance” will be set early in the game’s story and have Ellie and Dina explore more of the town. We saw glimpses of the same in the remaster’s announcement trailer. “Boar Hunt” will explore the journal entry by Ellie in the original game. As for “Sewers”, it may be an expansion of the section where Ellie is making her way to the hospital by traversing beneath Seattle.

• Guitar Free Play
• Lost Levels with developer commentary
• DualSense integration
• ‘No Return’ roguelike survival mode
• Bonus skins for Ellie and Abby

Owners of the original game on PS4 will be able to upgrade to the PS5 remaster for $10. Owners of the physical edition of TLoU2 on PS4 will need to insert the disk into the PS5’s Blu-ray drive every time to play the PS5 remaster. The India price for the upgrade has not been revealed yet, but it should be anywhere between Rs.499 to Rs. 999 given the conversion and past upgrade path prices for PS5 games.
The Last of Us Part 2 is currently available for PS4 and PS5 via backwards compatibility. The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered releases on January 19, 2024, for the PS5.
