CRED’s celebrity driven advertisements have almost become a tradition during the IPL season. Heck, that’s what most of us wait to see. But this year, the company’s launch of UPI peer-to-peer (P2P) payments took center stage.
That said, CRED still launched “unskippable ads’ by erecting billboards in Gurgaon, Mumbai and Bangalore. The celebrity featured in these ads? UPI.
Really, by now, P2P is probably one of the leading unsung heroes of our life. Bought a gift for your parents and need to split with your siblings? Need to go dutch on that night out with friends? Or maybe, it’s just your regular run-of-the-mill bills that have to be paid? P2P has you covered.
With CRED UPI P2P, members get access to a trusted and rewarding payment experience, when they ‘pay anyone’ – be it CRED members, or non-members; by searching their contact list or by adding phone numbers, or UPI id’s.

Make payments to ‘special contacts’ a WIN-WIN
When a member uses CRED’s UPI P2P experience for payments to ‘special contacts’, the WIN-WIN feature is activated. This lets both the payer and recipient get rewarded through cashbacks credited to one’s CRED balance. This balance can be redeemed on any bill payment or store transaction on CRED.
