There is delight if you happen to be a football fan living in national capital region with Football Delhi making a groundbreaking move with a first of its kind initiative.
This month will have a new and exciting football fervour as
maiden Futsal League in the nation will make an entrance in the capital, with the tournament kicking off from February 26.

While there have been plenty of Futsal tournaments played across the country, this will be the first ever Futsal League will make its bow in the country.
Eight teams will be in the fray and to fight for the supremacy. Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium will host the League and the matches will be played between 7 and 9 PM so that more spectators can attend the matches. The final round of the league will be played on the 29th February .
Football Delhi President Shaji Prabhakaran is excited about the prospect of a Futsal League and is optimistic it will help groom talent in the country. ” Delhi is the first state of the country to host a Futsal League. Futsal is very popular in all football playing nations and it will help grooming the talents at the grassroots level,’he said.

Royal Green FC , Valor FC , Roar FC, Signature FC, Vista FC, Timarpur FC, Pole Star FC and All Star FC are the 8 participating teams which will battle it out for the trophy. 120 players will be seen in action in the 4-day event.
Futsal Committee chairman Bankim Dutta said, ” Football Delhi wants to make this event a historic one and with this Futsal league a new culture will develop in the field of football in Delhi ”
