50 overs, 20 overs and now 10 – cricket is rapidly shrinking in size. The gentleman’s game has grown by leaps and bounds, but only commercially. According to reports, Virender Sehwag, Chris Gayle, Shahid Afridi and several others have signed up for a 10-over format in the United Arab Emirates.
A company called T Ten Sports Management has joined hands with the Emirates Cricket Board for a T-10 Cricket League.
This is a one-of-a-kind tournament where we’ll see the biggest stars of international cricket. Reports suggest Kumara Sangakkara has also signed up to play.
For the inaugural tournament, it will start as a 4-day affair. It is slated to start on December 21 and end on the 24th. More than 20 celebrities are also expected to perform in the event.
