After making the country proud at the Rio Paralympic Games, silver-medallist Deepa Malik returned home to a rousing reception in New Delhi on late Friday night. It was a festive atmosphere at the the Indira Gandhi International Airport as fans thronged to receive her.

Deepa was all smiles and was over the moon with the reception, flaunting her silver medal which she won in the F53 shot-put event by throwing a personal best distance of 4.61 metres.

The 45-year-old is an accomplished swimmer, adventure sports junkie, biker and entrepreneur and has had her name entered into the Limca Book of Record not once, but four times.
And seeing the reception she got, she truly looks like a champion who is sold out for development of thousands of disabled athletes in the country.
