Dhoni, who has taken a break from cricket was seen in good spirits as him took into the indoor facility at his home-ground in Ranchi. He got to a game of billiards and was clearly fancying his time away from cricket.
Recently, India’s 2007 T20 and 2011 50-over World Cup winning skipper also shared a video of gully cricket being played on the streets here. Dhoni was also seen in his new car – a one-of-its-kind Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.
He is quite clearly making good use of his downtime and keeping himself busy off the field. He is biding his time and there has been no indication of any drastic decisions in store as far as the retirement goes.
The 38 year-old former captain had himself unavailable for selection after the World Cup. He missed the West Indies tour and recently didn’t turn out in the T20 series against South Africa, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Recently, the reports claimed that Dhoni has made himself unavailable for selection until at least November. The extension of the break means that he will miss out on the Vijay Hazare Trophy and the home T20I series against Bangladesh as well.
This also means that Dhoni would be available to play for India only in December when the West Indies tour the country for three T20Is and as many ODIs. The series is scheduled to start on December 6.
