30 Years Of The Deadman: The Undertaker To Receive A Final Farewell At WWE Survivor Series

If you grew up in the 1990s and loved to watch WWE or WWF as it was known back then, then the name The Undertaker is one that needs no introduction. In fact, despite mainly being negative in the storyline, people loved him. His fan following was virtually unmatched. And now as a part of Undertaker’s final farewell and 30th anniversary, WWE is celebrating 30 Years of the Deadman throughout November and that could be the last time we see him.

The Undertaker is a seven-time world heavyweight champion in WWF/E, having held the WWF/E Championship four times and the World Heavyweight Championship three times.

Mark William Calaway was rebranded as “The Undertaker” in the WWF, and gained significant mainstream popularity as a horror-themed, macabre entity who employed scare tactics and held links to the supernatural.

Undertaker has contested against Hall of Famers such as Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Mick Foley.

Debut

In October 1990, Undertaker signed with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). He made his debut as Kane the Undertaker at a taping of Superstars on November 19, 1990.

Survivor Series

Undertaker made his official on-camera debut on November 22 at Survivor Series as a heel when he was the mystery partner of Ted DiBiase’s Million Dollar Team.

As part of Undertaker’s Final Farewell and 30th anniversary, WWE is celebrating “30 Years of The Deadman” throughout November, including recently debuted documentaries “Meeting The Undertaker“ and “WWE Untold: The Phenom and The Legend Killer” on WWE Network as well as “The Mortician: The Story of Paul Bearer,” which premieres this Sunday, November 8, and “Brothers of Destruction,” which premiered in October at the Austin Film Festival and will stream on WWE Network on Sunday, November 15.
