We’ve seen robots make pizza, even full three-course meals from scratch. And now, a US-based startup has created a robot that can make burgers in a matter of minutes.

The robot, named RoboBurger, is not very different from a self-use kiosk you’d find in a mall or at an airport. Inside this kiosk, however, is a robot that will whip up fresh burgers just the way you want them in just six minutes.
The robot makes use of the same five-step cooking process that’s used at quick-service restaurants like Mcdonald’s or Burger King. A fully autonomous girdle grills the patty of your choice while another toasting unit in the machine gets the buns nice and warm.
The machine gives the customer the option of having either ketchup, mustard and cheese on it. It even has its own cleaning system that adheres to the standards of the National Sanitary Foundation.
As far as the raw materials are concerned, the company claims to use meat that’s antibiotics free, and for buns, it makes use of a potato bun from a local bakery.

It goes without saying that the RoboBurger would be nowhere close to one that’s hand-assembled with grilled meat that melts in the mouth, but this could be a cool way to let people get a quick bite on the go.
It intends to extend this to malls, airports, colleges and other locales across the country in the coming months.
