Ratings take a dip as alarms are missed
A bug is reportedly wreaking havoc in lives of thousands of people… at least that’s what the reviews on Play Store will have you believe.
In fact, users are so furious that they’re dropping one-star ratings for the app, causing its overall rating to take a dip.

Looks like Google Clock understands how dreary Mondays can get and is not ringing alarms for users on Google Pixel devices and many others who use smartphones made by OnePlus, Oppo.

Multiple threads on Reddit have emerged since the bug was spotted. Turns out, users are unable to restore the app’s basic function even after reinstalling it and clearing the cache. Even resetting it does not seem to be helping yet.

Google is working on fixing the bug
When we tried to replicate the bug on a OnePlus 7T, the alarm seemed to ring as usual on two instances as screenshots below show. It’s unclear still whether users with certain settings are experiencing the issue.

According to Android Authority, the bug may be happening only in the Do Not Disturb mode, or for people who use Spotify tracks as alarm tones.
But people are most certainly not happy.
The highly-used Google Clock comes pre-loaded in most Android phones and can also be downloaded from the Play Store. Until then, we suggest downloading other apps from Play Store to ensure you don’t miss another work day like Alarmy, I Can’t Wake Up, AlarMon, Alarm Clock for Heavy Sleepers.
