This year
has been dreadful. Whether it is due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Australian bushfires
or even the explosion at occurred in Beirut, among so many dreadful things.
And
now it looks like this cursed year has a new victim now — Google.

In perhaps the biggest outage ever, Google
services are down in India as well as several other parts of the world. Gmail, YouTube, Google Docs, Google Photos are all experiencing outages. As per downtime site indicators, the outage is being experienced by the US, South and Central American nations, Canada, South Africa, Australia, as well as Europe.
The services affected are not just the free ones, but also the paid ones like YouTube Premium, Google Suite etc. This is not just on browser-based apps but also apps on Android and iOS.
When logging into Gmail, it just shows error 500, same is the case when opening Google Meet.

When you open YouTube, all it shows is a monkey with the message, “Something went wrong.”
One service that was surprisingly working at the time of writing this was YouTube Music and Google Search. Thank god for that!
Google hasn’t really revealed what went down to cause such an outage.
Surely, with services going down, people on Twitter didn’t take a second to react.
People shared screenshots of their Google Meet meetings that had disconnected all of a sudden.

Not just this, one user also complained that this outage has affected the Nest smart door locks and aren’t allowing him to enter into his home due to this outage, which is really shocking.
