The highly anticipated Nothing Phone (1) is finally here! On Tuesday night, Carl Pei’s Nothing revealed the device in its full glory during the global launch event called “Return To Instinct.”
The Nothing Phone (1) will be available to order in India starting July 21, 2022 at 7 pm IST on Flipkart. Nothing is a London-based company started by Carl Pei, who was one of the founders of OnePlus, now one of the largest smartphone brands in India.

How is Nothing Phone (1) priced in India?
The price for Nothing Phone (1) varies depending on specs. For starters, the 8 GB RAM/128 GB storage model will cost Rs. 32,999 in India. For the 8 GB RAM/ 256 GB storage version, the Nothing Phone (1) will cost Rs. 35,999. If you really want to go all in and buy the variant with 12 GB RAM/256 GB storage, you’ll have to shell out Rs. 38,999.

If you’re one of those who pre-ordered Nothing Phone (1), you’ll receive discounts on the device – Rs. 31,999 for the 8GB RAM/128GB storage version, Rs. 34,999 for the 8 GB RAM/256 GB storage model, and Rs. 37,999 for 12 GB RAM/256 GB storage offering.
Nothing Phone (1) does not ship with an adapter or earbuds, but the company is offering discounts on the same for those buying the devices, especially ones who pre-ordered it.
What are Nothing Phone (1)’s specifications?
The first flagship device from Nothing runs on Android 11 and comes with a 6.55 inch full HD OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The smartphone also comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC chipset.

In terms of the camera, the Nothing Phone (1) comes with dual-cameras with two 50-megapixel sensors. One of these is a Sony IMX766 sensor (paired with ƒ/1.88 aperture lens) and the other one is Samsung JN1 sensor (with ƒ/2.2 aperture lens). The phone supports image stabilisation, a 114-degree field of view, and a Macro mode. The front camera runs on a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 sensor (with ƒ/2.45 aperture lens).

Nothing’s first smartphone supports an in-display fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, a compass, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, and a proximity sensor. In the battery department, the phone will come with a 4,500 mAH battery to support 33W wired charging.

The Nothing Phone (1) also has facial recognition that works with face coverings and masks as well. On top of that, the Nothing Phone (1) will come with IP53 rating for dust and water resistance. According to Nothing, the phone will receive three years of Android updates, and four years of security patches.
