The handheld is being advertised as the world’s first dedicated 5G handheld console. It was actually first teased back at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year.

Unlike the Logitech G Cloud which is only focussing on cloud gaming, Razer Edge 5G is actually an Android Tablet clubbed with Razer’s popular Kishi V2 controller. Moreover, the device also gets Razer’s HyperSense advanced haptic feedback system as well as a headphone audio jack.

The screen at the front is a 6.8-inch full-HD+ AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 144Hz. Powering the tablet is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon G3x Gen 1. This is paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 memory and gets 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

There’s no camera at the back but there’s one at the front — a five-megapixel shooter capable of capturing full-HD video.

The device is truly 5G enabled and also supports 5G Ultra Wideband, for which Razer has teamed up with American carrier Verizon. There’s also a Wi-fi6E variant if gaming on the go isn’t something you want to opt for.

The Wi-Fi-only variant starts at a price range of $399.99 which is around Rs 34,000, whereas the 5G variant is around $499.99 which is around Rs 42,000. The company plans on releasing the device in January 2023 starting in the US followed by other nations. There isn’t any info on the device’s launch in India as of now.
