Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg announced
that his mobile owned company, Whatsapp has successfully crossed the 1 billion
user mark. “One billion people now use WhatsApp. There are only a few
services that connect more than a billion people. This milestone is an
important step towards connecting the entire world,” he posted on Facebook.
Whatsapp was founded by Ukranian immigrants and was acquired
by Facebook giant in 2009. Since its merger with Facebook in 2014, Whatsapp
user base has doubled up. It is a big milestone for the mobile world as
Whatsapp has reached the billion mark in no time.
