PUBG Is Banned Yet This 16-Year-Old Managed To Spend Rs 10 Lakh Of His Parents’ Money On It

PUBG has been quite a major cause of incidents in the country where teenagers have either stolen from their parents or even caused physical damage to themselves.

Another incident of similar nature has come from Mumbai where a 16-year-old boy squandered Rs 10 lakh from his mother’s bank account to play PUBG.

According to a Times of India report, the boy walked out of his home after his father realised that his son had blown up the money on the online game and reprimanded him for the same.

Scared that he will be punished for his actions, the teenager walked out after writing a note to his parents which read, ‘Will never come back home’.

According to crime branch officials, the teenager had figured out a way to procure the banned Chinese game.

His parents panicked when they found the note left by their son and immediately contacted the police.

A missing person’s complaint was lodged at MIDC police station, said the report.

The boy’s location was tracked through technical surveillance and a crime branch team found the boy in Mahakali locality in Andheri (east) on Wednesday.

Deputy commissioner of police (crime) Datta Nalawade said, “We have told the parents not to stress him with too many questions.”

Parents should monitor their children’s activities to ensure they don’t fall for online scams.
