Youngster Gives Minister Haircut And Shave On Stage, Minister Helps Him Set Up A Barber Shop

A young man’s luck shone when he sought help to set up a barber shop, and a Madhya Pradesh minister decided to help fulfill his dreams. The minister asked the barber to demonstrate his skills on stage during a function at Gulaimal in Khandwa district on Thursday. 

Forest minister Vijay Shah was attending a function in Khandwa, when a local man named Rohidas asked for his help. While the function was going on, the minister called Rohidas on the stage and asked him to give him a haircut and shave.

The barber, following COVID-19 protocol, demonstrated his skills by cutting the minister’s hair and giving him a shave on the stage. 

The minister was very happy and satisfied with his’ skills, and paid him Rs 60,000 on the spot so that he could open his barber shop. 

Shah also said that he wants people to know that it is safe to get a haircut from barbers, if all safety measures are in place.

He told PTI, “These people are facing problems because of COVID-19 restrictions and are jobless for the last few months. I got my hair cut on the spot to give confidence to people that it is safe if precautions are taken.”

Shah said that the money was paid from the minister’s discretionary fund.

He also mentioned that the government would provide loans through banks to the youth who are looking to start their own small businesses. The people will only have to repay the principal amount while the state government will pay the interest.
