Fearing she might cheat on him, Bihar man stops wife from studying
News 18
Alok Maurya and his wife Jyoti Maurya, from Uttar Pradesh, have been in the headlines for quite some time. Alok, a grade-4 employee, had borrowed money so that his wife could study for the Provincial Civil Service exam.
She is now a State District Magistrate in the Bareilly district. The man then claimed that his wife was having an affair with Manish Dubey, a home guard commandant in Ghaziabad.
This news has had a profound impact on this man from Bihar. So much so that Pintu Singh, a petrol pump manager from Chaugai village in Buxar (Bihar), believes he could be the victim of a similar event.
He has now decided not to support his wife Khushboo Kumari’s preparation for the Bihar Public Service Commission exams, according to News 18. Khushboo has filed a complaint with the Murar police station against Pintu.
Khushboo told News18 local that Pintu wants her to stop studying because he believes he would suffer the same fate as Alok Maurya. Khushboo stated that she wishes to further her schooling.
The wife is still studying for her exam
According to her, she previously took the BPSC exam but did not qualify for the mains because she was behind by seven to eight marks. She is still studying for the competitive exam using YouTube and other sources.

Pintu Singh, according to Khushboo, was originally cooperative with her studies but now begs her to abandon the concept of working in the government sector. She stated that SHO Ravikant Prasad promised her full assistance in this regard.
Singh stated that he is troubled by what happened with Maurya, which prompted him to quit assisting with his wife’s exam preparation. He claims that he has supported his wife’s studies since their marriage in 2010, but he does not intend to continue doing so.
When asked if he did not trust his wife, Singh replied that it is difficult to anticipate “a person’s fate and a woman’s character.” He further stated that his wife has requested that he continue to support her in the same manner as before.
He added that the SHO encouraged him not to judge everyone from the same perspective and to assist his wife with her education.
