There’s A Viral Twist To Cadbury 5 Star’s Latest Campaign & The Internet Is Taking Note

Don’t we all just love how free the internet is and the power of social media to win over attention? And now, even popular brands have learnt to use it for their benefit in the coolest way. Speaking of which, social media’s favourite chocolate brand, Cadbury 5 Star recently left the internet impressed with its attempt to prove that it’s everywhere.

Don’t believe us? Well, in order to prove it, they hacked their way into millions of apps across the planet by cleverly redesigning their wrapper to mimic the ‘ratings’ section found within apps. By simply doing this, they managed to turn the ratings page of each of the apps as a subliminal ad for Cadbury 5 Star. And all of this, without having to spend a single penny over this smart activity. Clever, right?

But, that wasn’t all. In order to get back at Cadbury 5 Star for this, the apps also started clapping back at them in hilarious ways. To which the chocolate brand had smart comebacks as well. And well, in no time, the banter between the apps and social media’s favourite chocolate brand caught everyone’s attention.

Have a look at Cadbury 5 Star’s banter with Swiggy:

While Swiggy and Cadbury 5 Star poked fun at each other with their tweets, Dunzo and Paytm also joined in the banter with their own cheeky tweets.

But in the end, it seems like Cadbury 5 Star had the last laugh when it got all these apps to promote it via their ratings page and they could do nothing about it. Smart, isn’t it?

This hilarious exchange between the popular apps like Swiggy, Paytm and Dunzo and Cadbury 5-star handles evoked hilarious responses from social media users and completely took over the internet. A Twitter user wrote, “Both of you eventually advertising @nothing for free.” Another one wrote, “Looks like Swiggy took over 5 Star.” Other Twitter users left laughter emojis in the comments as they couldn’t get enough of the funny banter.

Funny or not, they’ve certainly managed to capture the internet’s attention with this cool and smart campaign!
