Desi Grandmas Dance Their Heart Out In A Viral Video
Instagram
While people often miss out on the best of a wedding because they are shy, these grandmas are taking the internet by storm with their iconic dance moves. In the clip going viral online, a group of elderly women is seen seated in a big circle.
The wedding is going as normal; other guests are roaming around with plates in their hands and some children are running about the venue having a run. Amid the normal proceedings of a wedding, there is this group of ladies that can’t seem to contain their excitement once Diljit Dosanjh’s Punjabi hit ‘Lak 28 Kudi Da’.
Without standing up from their chairs, the elderly grandmas started jamming to the DJ’s beats and stretching out their hands high up in the air to dance along to the song while still sitting in their seats. This does not seem like anything out of the ordinary for the ladies to attempt, since everyone around them was neither surprised nor wanted to give much heed to the grandmas and their performance.
The Internet Was Floored After Watching The Iconic Video

People on the Internet were quite taken aback by the grandmas and their flare for Punjabi beats. One user joked, “Bibi trynna show Baba she still got it.” Another thought about how the ladies were probably dancing while sitting down because of their bad hips was, “When godey are really paining but dancing is important so you sit and do it.”
Many on the Internet related to the elderly grandmas and their uncontainable energy even at an age when others tend to stand in the shadows: “Me with my single girlfriends at 60.” While one added, “How old my friends gonna be when I finally get married.” One user thought, “Last generation with this way of enjoyment.”

One user wondered if the ladies decided not to get up and dance because they were from the bride’s side of the family, “When you really want to dance, but you are from the kudi wali side.” One more theorised, “Bibis got a hold of the brownies. This was beyond moo mittah.”
