Blah Or Waah? Dhokla Supporters & Anti-Dhokla Army Are Battling It Out On Twitter & It's Epic!

There are a few foods that are more than just that, they are legends and legacies and have a fan-following that can give the most famous celebrities a run for their money. One such food is dhokla. Not just Gujaratis, dhokla has fans all over the world.

However, you can’t be famous and not have enemies, or at least people who disagree with you. Dhokla is no different. For some reason, there’s an ongoing battle on Twitter right now, between those who love dhokla and those who think it’s just blah!

Now, you’d think, why and how did this battle suddenly start? Well, we’re as confused as you are, we absolutely have no clue what prompted this legendary confrontation. Believe it or not, at some point, someone said that they loved dhokla, and others countered them by saying they love beef. We’re not sure how this comparison is fair. But, basically the debate is all about which is better – dhokla, beef or fish.

Dhokla is an Indian dish, which is made with a fermented batter of rice and split chickpeas and looks yellow in colour. You must have seen people eating dhokla for breakfast, main course, a snack and also a side dish. Dhokla is similar to another Gujarati dish – Khaman, however, Khaman is made of chickpeas gram. There are different types of Dhokla and can be eaten with different food items.

Weird things trend on Twitter these days. A few months ago #jhumkatwitter and #paghditwitter were trending. While women were posting their pretty pictures in jhumkas on Twitter, men posted theirs in pagdis. There were also some women who posted some fun pictures in pagdis.

Seriously, these days anything can trend, ANYTHING!
