Futuristic, Butterfly-shaped House With No Walls Goes On Sale For Rs 52 Crore In Greece

An unusual house that is shaped like a butterfly and has no walls on the main floor has gone up for sale in Greece for $6.78 million (Rs 52 crore).

The out-of-the-box house is situated on the picturesque coastline of Vouliagmeni and is considered one of the most distinctive houses in the world. It is a smart home with five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a private basement, an open-plan living area and an indoor pool.

The house which spans over 5,381 square feet overlooks outdoor features including artificial lakes and floating paths. If seen from above, the house reveals the shape of a butterfly with holes in the ceiling mimicking patterns on the wings.

The main level features an open floor plan concept with no walls. There is also an elevator that goes from floor to floor. “It is inspired by the shape of the butterfly so as to ensure shading and complete privacy at the same time,” the listing states.

That’s not it! The interiors of the house are designed in all-white and the ground floor features the living and dining areas that open up to the pool and outdoor space. It also is accented by nature and greenery throughout.

There is also a lower level that goes below the ground floor. That lower level floor has a home theatre and three bedrooms with three additional bathrooms.
The property is located in the upscale neighbourhood of Kavouri.

Hints of purple and low-beam lighting shine through the home and appear to make the ‘butterfly’ come to life, while the lack of walls and simplistic furniture allow visitors to focus on the scenery outside, including Greek sunsets.

Currently, the house has a curvy sofa that sits alongside a natural stone wall in the private basement, as well as a mirror-style headboard and centrepiece, and a private closet area in the bedrooms.

Even though we wouldn’t want to stay in this house during a windy day because literally, the entire house is an open space. We imagine that the house got sold out for such a heavy price due to the high-end amenities it provides to the owner.
