Messi’s golden FIFA World Cup boots go viral
Messi is currently playing in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar as the captain of Argentina. Recently, a picture of his golden boots went viral on social media and the internet is in awe about how special these boots are.
The official handle of Champions League took to Instagram to share the picture. They captioned it as, “Messi’s World Cup boots.” Ever since posted the post has gone massively viral and gathered a lot of hearts from Messi’s fans, all over the world.
The boots have Messi’s sons’ birth dates
In the picture, a collage of Messi’s boots, one can notice the golden pair of specially customised boots have the birth dates of his sons.
The right boot has his sons Thiago and Mateo’s birth dates engraved on it. It reads “Thiago 02 11 12 and Mateo 11 09 15,” mentioning the birth date of Thiago as November 2, 2012, and Mateo’s date of birth as September 11, 2015.
In other pictures shared online that show the other boot, the left boot also mentions the date of birth of his youngest boy, Ciro, who was born on March 10, 2018. It also has a shortened version of his wife Antonella’s name and reads ‘Anto’.
As per other details, the football player also has a “10” written on the back of both boots, with an Adidas logo on the left and his own personal brand logo on the right.
They are an Adidas X Speedportal Leyenda pair. The boots are gold with blue and white details to represent the colours of the Argentina flag.
