One such video has been out where a boy tells how his father talked to him about periods. By teaching about periods at a young age, this man’s father was able to provide him with the knowledge that would help him better support the women in his life.
It also shows the importance of breaking down societal taboos around menstruation and promoting open communication about reproductive health.

“So my dad introduced my brother and me to the idea of periods at 13,” Anish says in the video’s opening. “He just wanted to ensure Mumma was cared for no matter what.” Anish mentions in the video that he, his father, and his brother have a WhatsApp group called Bhagat Men.
“For many years, we’ve had a group called Bhagat Men, which is all concerning caring for mumma when she’s sick or on her period.” So the three of us alternate getting her a new set of pads every couple of months,” Anish says as a screenshot of the group appears on the screen.

Anish reveals that it was his turn to bring her mother sanitary pads this time. So he decided to make her a cute hamper. As Anish prepares a hamper of chocolates, sanitary napkins, a facial sheet mask and tea, he reveals that his mother hasn’t left her house in six years to get pads. Toward the end, he delivers the hamper and tea to his mother, who is seen sleeping in bed with her laptop on.
