We thought this harping wouldn’t end before something is done about the broken Mumbai roads laden with potholes. But the situation has changed because the messies have become the messers.
Tried of this problem, Navin Lade, a Mumbai resident entered the city’s name in Guinness World records and Limca Book of Record for having the maximum number of potholes on the roads. On behalf of Mumbaikars, Navin, the General Secretary of the employment wing of the Republican Party of Indian (RPI) entered Mumbai for World Records.

There are over 27,363 potholes in Mumbai as of now. Anyhow, the books have accepted the entry and will soon be verifying the data.
“Every year, the city and its people suffer during these months. From buildings and bridges falling down to water-logging and potholes, all of these have led to several casualties. Despite the high death toll, those in power seem unaffected and keep repeating their old promises and assurances every year. Perhaps a dubious distinction of this kind would shame them into action,” said Lade, reports Mumbai mirror.
