Rumeysa Gelgi, the world’s tallest woman, has taken her first-ever trip on an airplane after Turkish Airlines removed six seats to make room for her.

Gelgi took a 13-hour flight from Istanbul, Turkey to San Francisco in the United States.
According to Guinness, she stands at a height of 215.16 cm (7 ft 0.7 in).

“A flawless journey from start to finish. This was my first plane ride but it certainly won’t be my last. A heartfelt thank you to each and every person who has been a part of my journey, Gelgi wrote on Instagram.
She shared several photos of her journey, which was made possible with the help of Turkish Airlines.
The company took out half a dozen seats from its economy section and replaced them with a specially made stretcher for Gelgi to lie on.
One of the pictures shows her beaming as she lies on the framework while posing up next to the cabin crew.

Gelgi, who works in the technology software industry, says she will be in the US for at least six months to further her career and collaborate with Guinness World Records.
She has Weaver syndrome — a rare genetic condition that causes bone overgrowth — and has been super tall ever since she was a child.

Meanwhile, she also has a number of other Guinness World Records to her name, including the longest finger on a living person, the longest hands and the longest back.
Gelgi lives in Karabük, Turkey, about 200 kilometers (124 miles) north of the capital, Ankara. She has been using her world record title to advocate for and raise awareness of both Weaver syndrome and scoliosis.
