A video of a Sikh man catching a robber red-handed and then thrashing him at a store in the US went viral a few days ago. When a worker attempted to interfere after the man was discovered shoplifting, the thief threatened him with a knife. One of the store employees decided to take matters into his own hands and bravely snatched the thief’s arms, while a Sikh man took a stick and began thrashing him. A person in the store recorded the entire episode.
Stockton police have now stated that they are investigating the attack of a 7-Eleven robbery suspect by two employees and that the accused thief is thought to have robbed the store twice more within the same 24-hour period, according to news portal KCRA.

The video, which has already gone popular on social media, was posted on July 29. While the convenience store management declined to speak, police said they were aware of two previous early morning robberies at the 7-Eleven site involving the same suspected burglar, one on July 28 and one on July 29.

The individual, who police now believe was the alleged 7-Eleven robber, had stated that he had not been assaulted. “We are aware of the incident, and an investigation is ongoing,” they said.
“At the time this was reported, Officers could not confirm if the male was a victim of an assault, or a suspect related to the series of robberies at the 7-Eleven,” the police department noted.
“The Stockton Police Department was able to combine the investigations of the suspected robberies and suspected assaults due to the diligence of a witness recording the July 29 robbery and assault.”
“The case has been assigned to our Investigations Bureau for follow-up interviews and evidence review.”
