The Tamil Nadu toddler is the son of Sasirekha and Bharat. He recently broke a record and got himself a place in the International Book of Records. Wondering what a 3-year-old can be capable of?

You would be surprised to know that Darshan won the honour of getting his name in the International Book of Records by identifying 197 countries through just their flags in just 4.40 minutes. The toddler also received an award from Kalam’s World Records.

Darshan is a resident of the Villupuram district in Tamil Nadu and is currently a student at a private school in the LKG program. Darshan broke the record after a 4-year-old boy had set up the bar by identifying country flags.

To show appreciation for the little talent, The International Book of Records, based in Delhi, presented the boy with an award. The boy was also congratulated on the unbelievable feat by Villupuram District Collector Palani.

Darshan’s proud mother commented on his achievement: “Beyond academics, parents should concentrate on teaching their kids a variety of life skills. I did that to keep track of Darshan’s abilities. Later, for two weeks, I asked him to name the flags of every country in the world in an effort to get him to play a game where he would look at and then comment on them. He also worked well with me,” per News18.

She went on to gush about her little son, saying, “It’s a euphoric moment that he has now broken an international record with it. We are incredibly proud. Every parent should keep an eye on and support their kids’ talents.”
