A Mother Of Two, Yedalapally Adilaxmi Sees No Challenge In Fixing Flat Tyres Of Tractors, Trucks

Working at a repair automobile shop is generally associated with men. You don’t generally see women repairing your tyres. However, one woman is challenging that idea.

Yedalapally Adilaxmi of Telangana lives in a remote village in Bhadradri Kothagudem. She has proved that women can do any work with willpower and determination.

The woman works at a small garage in Sujatha Nagar near Kothagudem town fixing flat tyres of not just motorcycles but also of cars, tractors and even trucks.

She is a mother of two children and helps her husband Bhadram in running the automobile repair shop. She has achieved expertise in the last five years in repairing punctures and replacing tyres.

Apparently, people coming to the shop were initially reluctant as they did not believe that a woman can fix flat tyres. They were shocked to see a woman lifting the heavy tyres and doing the kind of work that is traditionally are done by men.
