Love Wins! Turkish Woman Marries Andhara Man In A Traditional Ceremony

Love knows no bounds, no religion and no borders. A couple did prove it after getting married. A woman from Turkey and a man from Andhra Pradesh got married in a traditional ceremony leaving many mesmerised.

The groom named Madhu Sankeerth is a resident of Guntur which is in Andhra Pradesh. He met his now-wife Gijem in 2016. The two crossed paths for a work project and gradually became friends while working together. But this was not it, for working purposes, Madhu shifted to Turkey where Gijem was residing.

After working for a while and meeting regularly, the couple realised that they both are in love with each other and they wanted to take their friendship to the next level. However, when the couple told their parents about this, they were initially against the idea of getting them married but later the parents agreed to them getting married.

After the approval, the couple got engaged in 2019.

The couple was excited to get married in 2020 but due to the covid-induced pandemic, they decide to postpone it to this year. The couple celebrated togetherness with all customs and rituals.

They first got married in Turkey by going through Turkish traditions and now they got married in a traditional Telugu Hindu ceremony, erasing all barriers such as caste, language, and region.

In an interview, Gijem also mentioned how her family loves Indian culture and how she is also learning Telegu to communicate better with her husband’s family and relatives.

This however is not the first time an inter-racial marriage took place. Recently, a French woman named Mary Lori Heral who is a businesswoman in Paris married her tour guide, Rakesh who is a resident of Katharia village in Begusarai.

The two met in India and after six years of knowing each other and continuing with long-distance, the two got married in Bihar’s Begusarai. The couple got married per Hindu rituals because Mary is quite impressed with the Indian culture. Her entire family came to India to celebrate this union.

So, no matter the differences, love will always make a way when the time comes. We absolutely adore these love stories.
