Man shares photo of huge paperwork needed for Schengen visa

Now a user on Twitter named Saptarshi Prakash shared a photo of his required paperwork for a Schengen visa. The man, whose Twitter bio says he is the Director of Design for food aggregator Swiggy, wrote: “Applying for a tourist visa to one of the most developed countries of the world. This is the amount of paper I m supposed to carry to prove that I have the money to stay there and come back.”

People thought it looked like a manuscript

People on the internet were shocked to see the heavy paperwork of the visa. Many said, that it looked like someone’s PhD thesis or the manuscript of a book. One user said, “This is just one of the reasons why I prefer to have luxury experiences in India itself. (Too tiresome for the entire visa process, jetlag, immigration lines at airports, etc)”

The Schengen Area comprises 26 European countries that have officially abolished all passport and other types of border control at their mutual borders. It is issued as a short stay visa allowing its holder to circulate in the Schengen area.

The following countries come under the Schengen visa, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
