Waiter's Luck Works Wonders, Gets Saved From Bullets Thanks To A Leg Of Ham

In a bizarre incident, a waiter survived a murder attempt in a Spanish bar after a leg of ham stopped an array of bullets.

According to reports, the waiter was working at El Tigre Bar on June 5 when two men entered through the front door. The waiter immediately recognised the two of them and prepared himself for an attack.

The waiter dropped to the ground and ducked for cover behind the bar – one of the suspects took out a gun and fired at the waiter, said a UNILAD report.

However, the waiter’s luck played a huge role neither of the shots hit him and both men fled the scene. One of the two assailants was caught by a couple of parking attendants just 100 metres away from the scene. By then, the waiter had stepped out of the bar shouting for the police.

His rucksack had the gun used to shoot the waiter who is a 32-year-old Spanish national of Dominican origin.

The man who was apprehended is just 17 years old – he is believed to be the one who fired the gun.

Officers arrived at the scene and collected the bullets which were lodged deep into a large cured ham leg – a typical Spanish delivery.

The second perpetrator is still at large and the police authorities are closely looking at the CCTV footage to track him down.
