Wife Uses Quick Thinking And A Stick To Save Husband From Crocodile Ambush

In Rajasthan’s Karauli, a woman’s bravery saved her husband from a crocodile attack. A crocodile ambushed Banne Singh, a 26-year-old cattle herder, as he was crossing the Chambal River to give his goats water, and it grabbed his leg. Here’s what happened next.

Rajasthan woman saved husband from crocodile 

Vimal Bai, his wife, who was standing nearby, acted right away. She struck the crocodile with a stick, freeing her husband’s leg from its hold. But Vimal Bai stuck the stick into the crocodile’s eye when it began to drag her husband farther into the water. Banne Singh was eventually freed from the crocodile’s hold, and the couple was able to escape back to safety.

Banne Singh was saved by his wife’s bravery despite being hurt. Throughout the 15-minute ordeal, Vimal Bai’s bravery and quick thinking kept her husband alive. 

According to Dainik Bhaskar, Banne Singh expressed his gratitude and claimed that his wife’s actions were the best gift he could have ever received. On the other hand, Vimal Bai claimed that her husband’s life was the most important thing in the world and that she would have given her own life to save him.

Woman says she ‘did not consider’ her ‘own life’ 

“I only considered saving my husband’s life; I did not consider my own life. In a video clip posted on Twitter, Vimai Bai said, “I thought my husband’s life would be saved.   

Along with the clip making rounds on the internet, it was tweeted, “Magaramachch ke muh se apne pati ko bachaane wali bahaadur Vimal Meena ko bhi sunega… Sarakaar sammaanit bhi kar sakati hai… (Listen to the brave Vimal Meena who saved her husband from the mouth of a crocodile…Government can also honour her…)” 

Users of social media praised the brave woman for her deed, and many said that she should be recognised for it. “No matter what the governments are, such a brave woman should be honored, I say that respected Prime Minister or Ashok Gehlot should also talk to this woman through video calling,” a man wrote.   

 “Government can respect, should not and that too should be honored with gallantry award,” another man suggested. 

Another man wrote, “His bravery is indeed commendable. But it is natural for the life of one’s husband/family, every human being tries, if life is put on the line for a stranger, then both bravery and respect are justified. Society.”

A man added, “You are blessed,, Rajasthan is the land of heroes and heroines, see this today too _ Vimla Bai Meena.”

A man also wrote, “This is today’s Savitri, who brought back her husband’s life from the crocodile’s mouth. There is no answer to the courage and dedication of the Indian woman.”
